I hope that everyone had an amazing summer! I am so excited to start this school year off by meeting so many new faces.
While I'm sure that having a new art teacher will bring on a bit of an adjustment period for the students and myself, I am happy to say that I have been in contact with Annette Hatch to ensure that the transition goes as smoothly as possible. Ms. Hatch has taken a position at the high school, so she will not be too far away. Now, about the artosphere. On this page (Classroom Happenings) you will find a running blog about what is going on in the Hedke artroom. Here, updates, lessons, requests, and events will be discussed. In this blog I will provide some method to the artroom madness - some reason and possibly even a little rhyme. Oh, I almost forgot the best part . . . your participation in the artosphere! Feel free to use this space to leave comments, ask questions, or simply share your personal opinions. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you at Hedke, but when we simply can't get together we can always meet here! Here's to an exciting and art-filled school year!

Thank you for providing such a wonderful resource for Hedke parents. I look forward to seeing all the amazing masterpieces students are going to think up this year. My daughter, Raina, lives, breathes, and dreams all things art-related. I know she is going to love your class!
