Third graders have been introduced to radial symmetry. They showed their understanding of the concept by creating colorful snowflakes. The used oil pastel to create the design and watercolor resist to add the winter tones.

The third graders also worked on form by creating 3D melting icecubes. Again oil pastel and watercolor paint were used. The results are pretty cool. ;)

K-2 created mixed media hearts to spread the Hedke love throughout the community. The students used liquid glue and tissue paper to create their collages. This allowed them to explore interesting texture in art making. After they were dry the students found hidden shapes with metallic markers. We were all very impressed with the results.
