The fall harvest is upon us and the students read/listened to stories about the harvest moon and garden vegetables. After discussing the many changes that take place in nature during fall harvest, kindergarten through second grade students created their own harvests and harvest moons. They learned about shading and creating silhouettes. Here are some examples of the harvest moons. You can see more on the first grade page of the student gallery.
![]() The Dot by Peter Reynolds is a book that people of all ages can learn from and enjoy. In this book a young artist discovers that creativity starts with just making a single mark. To start this year we will be getting students started exploring their own creativity with the creation of their own dots. Check out the 4th grade and kindergarten galleries to view more student artwork. Welcome Back!I'm excited for the new school year! I have revamped the Hedke Art Website and hope you like the new look. There have been some nice additions to the art room as well. There is a new carpet for reading, class discussions and art analysis. There are also new tables. Can't wait to put them to use. Check in often this year to see student artwork and what is happening in the Hedke Artroom.
