Hello Hedke artists!  Choose an art activity  and check back next Monday for more at home art options.  Of course, you are welcome to do as many of the options as you like! 

CHALLENGE:  This week I challenge you to draw a person.  It can be a self-portrait or a drawing of a family member, friend, or favorite character.  

EXPLORATION:  Keith Haring used people as the inspiration for much of his artwork.  His cartoony and colorful creations showed a lot of energy and movement.  Check it out.

CHALLENGE:  Use food as inspiration for your art this week.  You can draw food like the Master artists of the past or use real food to make art!

CHALLENGE:  Get outside and draw a picture of a plant or flower.  Draw the flower growing in nature like it is, or draw it sitting in a vase.  

EXPLORATION: Artists, both male and female, have been drawing and painting flowers since drawing began!  This is because plants and flowers have so many unique shapes, colors, and textures.  They are great for practicing art-making and also beautiful to see.   Check out these famous artworks inspired by the beauty of plants and flowers.

CHALLENGE:  Build something!  Use materials from around the house.  Make it large or small.
