Welcome back! Choose an art activity and check back next Monday for more at home art options. Of course, you are welcome to do as many of the options as you like!
CHALLENGE: Get outside and draw a picture of a plant or flower. Draw the flower growing in nature like it is, or draw it sitting in a vase. EXPLORATION: Artists, both male and female, have been drawing and painting flowers since drawing began! This is because plants and flowers have so many unique shapes, colors, and textures. They are great for practicing art-making and also beautiful to see. Check out these famous artworks inspired by the beauty of plants and flowers. https://artsandculture.google.com/story/spring-has-sprung-artworks-inspired-by-flowers/fwIS781eEFtoKQ STEP-BY-STEP: Learn how to draw a whole bouquet of flowers Art 4 Kids Hub. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-jHiAovALE CREATE ONLINE: Use this site to make really cool neon art online. http://weavesilk.com/ ART CONTEST: The National Park Service and National Fossil Day partners are sponsoring an art contest to celebrate the 11th annual National Fossil Day. https://www.nps.gov/subjects/fossilday/art-contest-2020.htm I'd love to see some of your finished artworks.
