A zentangle is an extremely relaxing type of advanced doodling. Students were reflective while they created zentangles in the shape of feathers. Classes discussed the importance and symbolism of feathers in Native American culture. The students used line, shape, and contrast to complete these beautiful works. More can be seen in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade gallery's.
Students in 4th and 5th grade also used collage to create a birch tree forest landscapes. It was a time consuming process but the results were beautiful and unique.

Hedke hangs our art show at the Trenton Board of Education building over the summer months. So, the art from last year was taken down this fall. I am very proud of every student's work, but these are just a few that really stood out last year. |
