This week students are working on the Art Element of Shape. K-2 are making Pumpkin Head characters. We are using Organic Shapes to draw Realistic pumpkins. We are then adding bodies and Expressions to our pumpkins. The artwork is being colored with Watercolor Payons and then painted over with water. They are super fun! 3-5 are working on organic shapes as well as they create character skeletons. This is a simple but fun project that allows students to explore anatomy in addition to the art element SHAPE. We are also developing hand and skull X-rays... Pastel Scenery... And origami eyes! As you may have guessed, I am a big fan of Halloween. I hope these scary shapes add a little fun to your holiday.
