Students in third through fifth grade are currently working on the creation of MOLAS. Molas are a form of textile art originally created by the Kuna people of Panama. Mola translates to blouse. Many of these fabric artworks can be found on the clothing of the Kuna people. The subject of the Molas are inspired by the culture of the Kuna people.
Some students are making Mola's that represent American culture, while others are creating Molas that show an animal that represents them.
