Fall-idays

Celebrating the lives of those that have come before us is the idea behind Dia de los Muetros.  The students created sugar skulls and skeleton hands holding flowers that represent the cycle of life.  This holiday is both beautiful and meaningful.  The artwork that resulted, and the symbolism behind them, are as well.  

Thanksgiving focused on the Native American's and their connection to the earth.  Students in K-3 made Glass Gem corn.  

​Various K-5th grade classes created Spirit Animals that are true to the Native American style of artmaking.  The symbolism used in color selection and design is what make these artworks so special.  

I am also so thankful for students that bring me artwork made outside of class that are full of LOVE, ART, and pokemon :D.
