At Home Art Options:  Week 2

4/20/2020

This week is all about animals.  Choose an art activity  and check back next Monday for more at home art options.  Of course, you are welcome to do as many of the options as you like!

DRAWING CHALLENGE:  Draw a picture of an animal.  Don't forget to show where it lives.  What is the animal doing?  Get as creative as you can!

COLORING:  Here are some interesting animal coloring sheets.    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SSJy4feGNiekTDYiX2MLyfDYmJPblduS/view

MUSEUM EXPLORATION:  Check out the Smithsonian Nation Museum of Natural history to discover more about animals.  You can create an artwork based on what you find.  https://naturalhistory.si.edu/visit/virtual-tour

STEP-BY-STEP: Try a Dream Bird collage like Eric Carle uses in his many books about animals.  https://drive.google.com/file/d/14WshNsq4m_kl5lXYX2NA54N1fP4UfgLN/view

CREATE ONLINE:  This website allows you to make crazy patterned art.  It's like creating a collage without the cutting and pasting.  http://scrapcoloring.com/

ART CONTEST:  The State-Fish Art Contest is accepting digital entries until April, 30th.  The Site explains everything you need to know.  https://www.wildlifeforever.org/home/state-fish-art/

I'd love to see some finished artworks.  If you'd like to send a picture you can contact me on the Ms. Dziadosz page.
